Chinese Ambassador Qu Zhe Addresses at the Opening Ceremony of Tallinn Junior and Estonian Wushu Open Championships 2016

Organized by the Estonian Sports and Traditional Wushu Federation, the Tallinn Junior and Estonian Wushu Open Championships 2016 kicked-off in Tallinn on 19 November 2016. At the invitation of the President of the federation, Mr. Priit Kõrve, the Chinese Ambassador to Estonia, H.E. Mr. Qu Zhe, attended the opening ceremony of the tournament. In his remarks, Ambassador Qu expressed his warm congratulations on the tournament and hailed the Estonian Sports and Traditional Wushu Federation for its dedication to bringing Chinese martial arts and culture closer to the Estonian public, promising further assistance to the federation.

The three-day event from Friday to Sunday attracted athletes from Latvia, Russia and Estonia to compete in different groups of gender, age (from 6 years and younger to 36 years and older) and qualifications, as well as the European Wushu Federation judges. During the opening ceremony, a traditional lion dancing was performed, which won rounds of applause from the audience.
