Chinese Ambassador Qu Zhe met with Director General of Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mait Palts

On 5 January 2017, the Chinese Ambassador Qu Zhe paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) Mr Mait Palts.

Ambassador Qu said that China and Estonia enjoyed good relations over the years and practical cooperation between the two countries had yielded many results. More Estonian companies expressed their interests in investing in or exporting to Chinese market. Potential business opportunities could be further explored. The Ambassador thanked ECCI for its contribution of promoting cooperation between Chinese and Estonian companies. He encouraged the chamber to make most of the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation and other platforms so as to facilitate companies from both countries to expand their cooperation in future.

Mait Palts agreed with the Ambassador on the perspective of trade and investment relations between the two countries. He briefly overviewed the latest cooperation between the member enterprises of the Chamber and the Chinese companies in recent years. The Director General said the Chinese market is appealing to many Estonian enterprises, and his organization will play an active role in helping Estonian and Chinese companies to establish contacts and grow their businesses.
