Ambassador Li Chao Met with Estonian Social Affairs Minister

On February 10, 2020, Chinese Ambassador to Estonia H.E. Mr. Li Chao met with Minister of Social Affairs of Estonia Mr. Tanel Kiik. Ambassador Li and Minister Kiik exchanged in-depth views on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of social affairs and public health.

Minister Kiik expressed sympathy to China for its suffering from the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic and condolences to those who deceased due to the epidemic. Minister Kiik supported the measures taken by the Chinese government to fight against the epidemic and wished China an early victory over the outbreak.

Ambassador Li thanked Minister Kiik for his condolences and support, updated the outbreak and introduced the effective measures taken by China and the positive trend of the fight against the epidemic. Ambassador Li appreciated the rational response of Estonia to the epidemic and its assistance to China and said that China was determined, confident and capable of defeating the outbreak. “China is willing to keep close contact with Estonia on epidemic prevention and control.” Ambassador Li said.
