Schedule for Chinese Lunar New Year celebration events in Tallinn 2021

On the occasion of the Chinese Lunar New Year 2021 (the year of Ox), the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Estonia, together with our partners from Beijing and Tallinn government, will organize several events in February.

The Chinese Lunar New Year falls on 12th February. The Chinese Ambassador to Estonia H.E. Mr. Li Chao and Madame Sun Peng, together with all the staff members of the Embassy, wish all the Chinese and Estonian friends a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year.

1、Happy Spring Festival Event

13:00-19:00 Tauno Kangro models buffalo sculpture for the Year of the Metal Buffalo

18:00 Dragon dancers dance on Vabaduse Square and are accompanied by drummers led by Silver Ulvik

18:10 Opening of the photo exhibition "Beijing, the ancient capital". Deputy Mayor Vadim Belobrovtsev and Chinese Ambassador Li Chao will deliver speech

18:16 Fantastic dance studio fire show

18:20-19:20 Beijing virtual program dedicated to the celebration of Chinese New Year from a mobile screen

The photo exhibition and video from the mobile screen will remain at Vabaduse Square for 3 weeks.
