Chinese Embassy in Estonia and Tallinn Zoo co-hosted a "Panda Evening"

The Chinese Embassy in Estonia and the Tallinn Zoo co-hosted a "Panda Evening"on February 17,2017. This event was open for everyone who registered themselves on the website and it turned out to be highly popular among people of all ages. The youngest Giant Panda fan was around 2 years old.

Ms LIN Hang, Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Estonia, in her opening remarks briefed the audience on the popularity of the Giant Panda through its goodwill mission, and called upon all parties joining hands to advance the Giant Panda conservation effort and sustainable development of its environment.

Mr Tiit Maran, Director of Tallinn Zoological Garden, in his keynote lecture made a comprehensive and in depth introduction about Giant Panda, and shared his first hand knowledge and experience of visiting the Chengdu Panda Base last year.

The audience demonstrated great interest in getting more information about the endangered Giant Panda through the Q&A and participated actively in the Panda quiz.

With a sip of Chinese tea and a taste of the Panda snack, a beautiful melody playing from the traditional Chinese music instrument Gu Zheng, and a DIY Panda drawing in Chinese ink workshop, the visitors fully enjoyed the "Panda Evening" .
