How to apply a visa to mainland China

Step 1: Visit to fill the China Online Visa Application (COVA).

Step 2: Print and sign the confirmation page and the completed COVA form. Please see HERE for photo requirement. The Embassy will NOT accept application form that is filled in with inaccurate, unclear, incomplete information or with unsatisfied photo.

Step 3: Submit application. An applicant can submit the application to the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy either in person or by designated person/agency. The Consular section opens at 14:00-17:00 every Tuesday and Thursday (except public holidays). No appointment is required. Applications sent by post will NOT be accepted. Step 4: Make the payment by visiting Luminor Bank (Nordea Bank) in Estonia. The Embassy will NOT accept any payment made by internet bank or ATM transfer. Please click HERE for service fees and payment requirement.

Step 5: Collect passport and visa. On or after the pick-up date specified in the pickup form (pink colored), applicants can pay and pick up their visas themselves or by entrusted persons, travel agencies with that form and payment voucher issued by the Luminor Bank in Estonia.

P.S.: It take 6 working days for the Embassy to process your visa application. For example, if the application is submitted on Tuesday, the visa will be ready to pick up on next Tuesday. Please note the Embassy has the authority to decline any applications for Chinese visa.
