At the invitation of the Estonian Ministry of Agriculture, China's Vice Minister of Agriculture Niu Dun visited Estonia from 19-21 January 2015.

Niu Dun and Ivari Padar, the Estonian Minister of Agriculture, discussed cooperation in the fields of food trade, food security and applied sciences in the bilateral talks. The "Action Plan 2015-2016 on Cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Estonia" was signed after the bilateral meeting. Accompanied by Ivari Padar, the Vice Minister visited an agricultural enterprise and met with representatives from Estonian agricultural companies and research centers.
