At the invitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia, the Vice Minister of China's National Health and Family Planning Commission Mr. Sun Zhigang visited Estonia from 11-14 June.

The Chinese vice Minister met with the Estonian Minister of Health and Labour Mr. Rannar Vasilyev and signed a MOU in the field of health and medical sciences between the Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs and China's National Health and Family Planning Commission. The memorandum,which is the first document signed between the two countries' health ministries, will create a framework for cooperation in various areas related to healthcare and medicine.

During his visit, Mr. Sun also had meetings with board members of the Estonian Health Insurance Fund and the North Estonia Medical Center.
