China's Vice Minister of Agriculture Qu Dongyu meets Estonian Minister of Rural Affairs

The Vice Minister of Agriculture of China Mr. Qu Dongyu met with Urmas Kruuse, Minister of Rural Affairs of Estonia, in Beijing on December 8, 2015. The two sides exchanged views on deepening China-Estonia agricultural cooperation.

Vice Minister Qu pointed out that in recent years China-Estonia relations have been strengthened constantly. Enjoying respective features in agriculture, the two countries are complementary to each other with a bright prospect for cooperation in agricultural trade, processing, S&T, and so on. To further promote bilateral agricultural cooperation, Vice Minister Qu offered the following proposals: first, to enhance the development of agricultural cooperation mechanisms; second, to boost agricultural trade jointly; third, to facilitate personnel exchanges and agricultural S&T cooperation; fourth, to leverage multilateral cooperation platforms like the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Agro-trade & Economic Forum as well as the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries, so as to intensify bilateral and multilateral agricultural cooperation.

Urmas Kruuse fully agreed with Qu's suggestions and expressed his willingness to work with China and further step up agricultural cooperation.
