Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing Congratulates His Estonian Counterpart Ms.Kristiina Ojuland

On April 14, 2003, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Li Zhaoxing sent a letter of congratulation to Ms. Kristiina Ojuland on the occasion of her re-assumption of the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia. The full text of the letter of congratulation is as follows:

    I wish to extend my sincere congratulation and best wishes to Your Excellency on the occasion of your re-assumption of the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia.

    Through the joint efforts of both sides, the bilateral relationship between China and Estonia has achieved smooth progress and mutual exchange and cooperation in various fields are continually expanding since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries. The first ever State Visit by H. E. JIANG Zemin, then President of China to Estonia last June symbolizes a new stage the friendly and cooperative relationship between our two countries has reached. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China is willing to maintain close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and work towards steady development of the Chinese-Estonian friendly and cooperative relationship.
