The Chinese Script Exhibition and "Tibetan Today" Photo Exhibition Held in Tallinn

On September 2, under the joint efforts of Embassy of the People's Republic of China and Estonian National Library, the opening ceremony of the Chinese Script exhibition and "Tibetan Today" photo exhibition were held in Estonian National Library. Estonian President, H.E. Arnold Rüütel, officials from Estonian Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry and Culture Ministry and people from different walks of life, diplomatic corps, overseas Chinese and students, around 150 persons attended the ceremony.

Mr. Chen Shanmin, Charge d'Affairs i.e., on behalf of the Chinese Government handed over electronic devices, including 18 computers, with total value of around 600,000 kroon to Estonian National Library. Mrs. Tiiu Valm, Director of the Library, expressed her appreciation for Chinese Government's generous donation, and hopes that Estonian people's understanding of China and Chinese ancient civilization would be deepened and strengthened through today's two exhibitions.
