On the morning of June 8, 2019, President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing after concluding his state visit to Russia and attendance at the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee Ding Xuexiang; Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee Yang Jiechi; State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi; Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Director of the National Development and Reform Commission He Lifeng and other delegation members arrived by the same plane.

On the afternoon of June 7 local time, Xi Jinping left St. Petersburg for China. Senior officials of the government of Russian Federation, the governor of Leningrad Oblast and senior officials of the St. Petersburg Municipal Government saw him off at the airport.
