Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition Chinese Bronze-Highlights in Reproduction held in Tartu, Estonia

The opening ceremony of the exhibition Chinese Bronze-Highlights in Reproduction was held at the Sports Museum in Tartu, the second largest city of Estonia.

More than 120 guests including the Tartu officials, well-known experts from Tartu University, scholars from the cultural cycle, etc. were present at the opening ceremony.

On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Estonia, H.E. Ambassador Xie Junping extended her warm welcome in her address to the guests and explained that the exhibition was one part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between P.R.China and Estonia, and an important cultural exchange as well. She emphasized that the exhibition would help Estonian people further understand China's long and rich history and civilization. In conclusion, H. E. expressed her best wishes for the prosperity of Tartu.

Mr. Juri Sasi, deputy mayor of Tartu, appreciated Ambassador's wishes and made considerably positive remarks on the significance of the exhibition. After the opening ceremony, visitors streamed to enjoy the exhibition. They were all overwhelmed and deeply impressed by the time-honored history and brilliant ancient civilization of China.

The exhibition will last till the end of August.
